Looking back to look forward

Welcome to the Collective Encounters Archive

Collective Encounters is a Theatre for Social Change company founded in 2004 in North Liverpool. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength, and now we work across the whole Liverpool City Region and further afield. This is our living library of the stories of our participants, those who have worked with us or have been our partners since then, and of the work we have created. This work always centres the narratives told by our participants, and speaks to their desire to bring a better world into being. It also contains stories of the culture of a City and a Region full of untold dreams, one of the areas of the UK richest in working-class culture of all kinds. From this collective account of how we got here, we are also imagining our future.

To get the most out of the experience, we encourage you to register as a member. This will allow you to customise the Archive: you can search for Projects you were involved in, or of a particular kind, save those you find most interesting, browse the ‘Cultural Memory’ ideascapes, listen to our new Podcast series, and check in with the Heritage Police.

We will be adding new projects and other resources to the Archive from now on, so please do visit regularly.
