In Our Times 2012
The songs here were co – created for a performance we did at the CASA in 2012. The participant groups worked with Simon James a musician and composer and Abi from Collective Encounters to co-create songs that spoke to issues that affected them. The groups we were running at the time were the Youth Theatre who created Fly, our Homeless theatre company who created Seize the Day and the Third Age Theatre Group, who created Stand Up. Each song has a different feel, which reflects the group. These songs were then performed alongside soapbox Moments and sketches as a reflection of the now and what was happening politically in Liverpool and the UK. A fourth song Keep Pushing was created and in 2018 it was made into a music video.
