The Heritage (or History) Police were created and played by our Adult Theatre for Social Change group who wanted to explore who decides what ‘heritage’ is and why. They will pop up and rudely interrupt your browsing with provocations about the meaning of heritage.
The heritage police, in less humorous form, exist everywhere. Perhaps it’s time to defund them?
“Dear History Police. Though we thank you for your tireless efforts, your control is no longer required. From now on, we will be adopting our own approach, our own way of seeing, of speaking, of thinking”
